Operating Engineer (1st, 2nd Class Engineer License)

Essential Functions:

• Provide a first responder type of response to any BAS alarms that will require field verification
• Minor mechanical adjustments, basic troubleshooting evaluation and constant communication with BAS Room and/or associated trades for situations resolution.
• In charge of the house keeping of utilities different areas (DI water, chillers, compressors, vacuum pump system, etc.).
• Execute basic preventive maintenance (PM) activities to areas and/or equipment associated to utilities.
• Provide relief shift coverage as needed to execute BAS room operations.

Education Requirements:

• Required Licenses - Stationary Engineer License or Commonwealth of Massachusetts 1st or 2nd Class Engineer License.
• Massachusetts Wastewater Operator Industrial Grade 1 (Wastewater license is preferred at the moment of starting the job, if not available, it will be required to be obtained within the job’s probation period)

Experience Requirements:

• 5-9 years of experience in the utility's operation and/or maintenance is required.
• Previous experience working within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, and Healthcare. Industries with thorough working knowledge of cGMPs are preferred.
