Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to ensure CRI compliance with all Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene laws and regulations. Support the implementation of CRI Occupational Safety program in compliance with applicable regulations and Company requirements.
  • Design and implement preventive programs that reduce work-related injuries and increase people involvement in programs and processes designed to improve occupational health and safety.
  • Conduct Inspections of the Safety programs to validate the correct implementation of Corporate policy (KORE) for the following programs: Compressed Gases, Confined Spaces, Contractor Safety, Electrical Safety, Fall Preventions, Fire Control, First Aid, Flammable liquids, Hazardous Energy Control, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Lift truck, LEV, Machine guarding, Managing of hazardous materials, ozone protection, PPE, Respiratory protection, Traffic route among others.
  • Plan, coordinate, direct and handle Capital projects and Maintenance services related to Safety requirements to assure compliance with KORE, NFPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain the correct conditions of fire suppression systems that include: Sprinklers, foam tanks, fire hoses, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, jokey pumps, Risers, PIV’s, Hydrants , smoke detectors, flow switch, tamper switch, fire alarm control panels among others.
  • Carry out or coordinate the Industrial Hygiene evaluations, Noise survey and Indoor Air Quality to ensure the correct evaluation process that help us to minimize the CRI associate possible risk exposure.
  • Investigate and Report Safety Incidents including the interviews with affected associates and Managers, prepare Root cause analysis, prepare conclusion report with recommendation and action plan, perform metrics and identify trends for OSHA recordable, first aid and any other situations that can cause a Safety Incident.
  • Evaluate and implement action plans in Manufacturing and Engineering areas to verify compliance with Process Safety Management including but not limited to the implementation of Process Hazard Analysis, assure the correct implementation of Mechanical Integrity program, and provide coaching to affected areas in the appropriate safety form the manage flammable liquids.
  • Plan, coordinate and direct the Environmental, Occupational Safety, PSM and BBS Committees and assure the people involvement at all levels.
  • Coordinate the internal and external training program for Emergency Brigade Team.
  • Evaluate working areas to verify compliance with regulations and established norms, prepare work orders and follow up of deficiencies found during the inspections.
  • Conduct risk assessment by identifying and assessing potential magnitude of risk (e.g., safety, regulatory) and creating contingency plans.
  • Prepare and coordinate contractor capital and Services Bid process to create purchase requisitions related to safety requirements.
  • Establish, conduct or respond to safety assessments/analyses plant to minimize health and safety risks. (Including but not limited to PHA, JHA and FMEA )
  • Evaluate, select, and recommend personal protective equipment for the associates based on potential exposure. Testing of adjustments to equipment for associates with special needs.
  • Evaluate changes in processes (MOC) and the use of chemical products (SDS) to verify compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge updated in regulations and programs and provide technical expertise and support to others.
  • Collect Data to measure the effectiveness of CRI Safety programs (OSHA Rates, Case Management, Project Status, Risk evaluations and results) and present it to CRI Leadership team.
  • Participate in Preventive and Corrective action review board team meeting to coordinate and review tasks related with Safety.
  • Provide coaching, prepare, coordinate and conduct safety programs presentations and/or trainings to associates including new hires
Education: 
  • Bachelor Degree in Science.
  • Master’s degree in areas related to industrial hygiene, risk control, safety with one year of experience (preferred)
